GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS (October 12, 2020) – Johnson & Associates partner Chris Johnson represented the board members of a local area church in a number of claims brought by former church members and a former pastor. Acting quickly, the firm was able to dissolve an ex parte temporary restraining order obtained by the Plaintiffs. After a two-day evidentiary hearing, the Court denied the Plaintiffs’ request for a temporary injunction. The Court agreed with the board members, finding that Plaintiffs could not establish a likelihood of prevailing on the merits of their claims.
