GALVESTON, TEXAS (August 31, 2022) Johnson & Associates obtained a jury verdict in the Probate Court of Galveston County, Texas to admit a lost will into probate and defend a will contest. In a two-day jury trial, Partner Christopher Johnson and Associate Attorney Brandon Evans were able to prove the contents of the lost will, defend the contest to the will’s validity, and prove that the Contestant had stolen the will and challenged the will in bad faith. As a result, the lost will was admitted into probate and the Contestant received nothing from the decedent due to the will’s no contest clause.
